Free Secure E-Mail and PGP
It is well known I think that I offer free offshore consultations by e-mail to members of Q Wealth Report.
Most people understand the need for secure and/or encrypted e-mail. I fully support the use of secure e-mail for these e-mail consultations. So much so in fact that a couple of years ago, in association with some friends in the secure e-mail business, I started offering FREE SECURE E-MAIL ACCOUNTS to my clients and readers.
I continue to offer this facility. However, we are not a tech company and tech support for this kind of thing can get rather in depth and time consuming. I specialise in offshore advice, and leave advice on secure e-mail to others. So the deal is this…
As a subscriber to The Q Wealth Report you get a free encrypted email address on a dedicated offshore server. I know the technicians who run this service personally and have full confidence in them. They are 100% committed to our cause. It is much more secure than anything else I know, including things like Hushmail and Safemail. You can use this secure e-mail for communicating with me privately.
This is a very powerful e-mail service that includes SSL encryption, and will strip your originating IP address off any mail you send. You can access it via a VERY user friendly web mail interface (called SquirrelMail) or – unlike other free e-mail services – you can access it via a program like Thunderbird or Outlook. In actual fact this is not a free e-mail service, it is just a service you are getting for free. That is why it has these premium features and is not supported by advertising in any way.
HOWEVER please understand that as a free service it does come with the following limitations.
- It is only for paid up subscribers of Q Wealth. I should point out that this e-mail service costs $100 per year if you buy it on its own. A subscription to Q Wealth costs $87 and includes a host of other benefits. So you can see it makes sense!
- If you are a member, send an e-mail to info @ qwealthreport.com stating your preferred user name and password. (This is just for starters – later you can go in and change your password)
- They will reply within about 24-48 hours to confirm your address is set up. They will give you access to step-by-step instructions to the webmail interface and to download and install PGP.
- No tech support is included. It’s really easy to get it to work by following the straightforward instructions. But please, if you have problems with it then ask a technician, not an offshore consultant (hint, hint, that means please don’t ask me!) If you have children or grandchildren they will most likely be able to get it working for you.
- No guarantees. We will endeavour and fully plan to keep it going for the foreseeable future, but it could be here today and gone tomorrow. You are responsible for keeping backups etc.
