Getting Started – The Initial Consultation
An initial consultation by e-mail is free of charge to subscribers of The Q Wealth Report. In this case please contact the Q Wealth offices by e-mail or phone for a referral. They will verify your membership status and put you in contact directly with Peter on a “for Peter’s eyes only” email address. As Peter travels frequently and is very busy at times, it may take several weeks to get the consultation set up. Other times it might take just a day or two. Please be patient. Good things take time!
There are three important things to consider when arranging a consultation:
- It is highly recommended that you communicate by secure e-mail. There is a good page on secure e-mail at Rayservers showing how to do this step by step. If you are not technically minded, don’t worry as there is also a much easier option, the secure SSL webmail. Peter will be happy to set you up with a user name and password at no charge, due to his business arrangement with Rayservers. Request his PGP key.
- Free telephone consultations, if desired by client, are at the discretion of Peter and generally depend who is asking. E-mail or personal meetings are preferred. Phone calls are available to those who come well referred by people Peter trusts.
- This should be fairly obvious, but the more you ask the more you get! To get the most value out of your free consultation ask all the questions you want (within reason) being as specific as possible, and include as much background info as possible on your current circumstances.
If you are not a subscriber to Q Wealth, there is a fee of EUR 500 for an initial email consultation. A subscription is therefore highly recommended. If you wish to pay the EUR 500 instead please contact Peter’s assistant by email: info@petermacfarlane.net Of course, clients who make payment do go straight to the top of the pile above the free consultations and can therefore expect a much faster reply.
Urgent E-Mail or Telephone Consultations
If your circumstances require an urgent consultation, send an email to info@petermacfarlane.net and state that your case is very urgent. In this case please be prepared to pay the initial EUR 750 consulting fee by credit card. To do this we will need a faxed or scanned copy of the card itself, the cardholder’s ID, and a signed authorization to deduct EUR 500. Once the initial consultation has been completed, you and Peter will both have the chance to make further arrangements provided you both agree to take it further. Peter is very busy, but for his best clients he has been known to fly around the world at very short notice.
Personal Meetings
Of course there is no substitute for a personal meeting. Many clients do prefer to schedule a personal consultation and Peter encourages this. It is better to explain your situation face to face. The fee for an initial personal meeting (up to 4 hours) is EUR 2000. Travel expenses (business class) are payable in addition if Peter must travel to meet you. However, given time it is often possible to schedule meetings in cities where Peter will be passing through, so you don’t have to pay travel expenses at all. It all depends how urgent your requirements are and what you feel comfortable with. Q Wealth VIP members receive a free personal consultation with Peter, value EUR 2000. This can be arranged through the Q Wealth offices.
Note: For regulatory reasons Peter does not travel to the USA or the UK on business. Good places to meet are typically Panama, the Caribbean region, or Western Europe.
Please note the fee must be paid before the meeting or travel commences. You can pay by bank transfer, cheque, cash, Visa or Mastercard.
Another option for Personal Consultations is to attend an event or seminar where Peter will be present. Besides benefitting from the event, you will find that reduced consultation fees have normally been negotiated for seminar participants. See Meet the Man (Who Made His Clients Millions!)
The Initial Consultation Works Out Free!
The initial consultation fee will be applied against future fees payable if you decide to continue to use Peter’s services. Therefore, the initial consultation is effectively free. Unfortunately, however, we must insist on advance payment for initial meetings due to too many bad experiences with timewasters in the past.
Ongoing Fees
Following the initial consultation Peter offers either an annual e-mail consulting retainer or an annual personal consulting retainer (both being unlimited but reasonable use). Or you can simply agree a fixed price for successful implementation of a specific solution, or an hourly rate. These fees will be discussed during the initial consultation.
An Important Note
Thank you sincerely for your interest in doing business with Peter Macfarlane and Associates, S.A.. Most of our clients become very good long term friends. Frequently we are able to make very valuable business and social introductions for clients, too. Relationships, however, must be developed over time. The internet is full of wannabees and “tyre kickers” too, and we have no way of distinguishing them at first glance (or if we do, we’re not telling!) Besides that, Peter offers very private and personal consulting services and must do due diligence vetting and carry out certain checks before accepting new clients. Please do not be offended if we ask for payment up front and certain other information at the beginning. The intention is to provide the most efficient, secure, personal and confidential service to our esteemed clients.
